What makes Afri-Ludo different from other ludo apps?
It plays the ludo rules from Ghana. Two are always on: Backward capture (move a piece backward by your exact roll to land on an opponent and send them home) and Home-tile choice (roll a 6 with an opponent on your start tile and choose to kick them off, or roll again for a boosted exit). No tile is safe, except a stack: two or more of one color on a tile can't be captured, and anyone sharing that tile is safe too.
What are the extra rules?
Four optional house rules, off by default, each with a one-line explanation in Settings → Ghana Rules: Laborer, Sidekick, Home Kick, and Blockade. Extra rules lock in when a match starts; finish the match to change them.
Why can't I move backward?
A backward move is only allowed when it lands exactly on an opponent and captures. If no capture is possible, the backward option isn't offered. Backward moves never happen inside the home column.
How do I play against the computer or with friends?
On the setup screen, pick 2 to 4 colors and set each seat to a person or a bot with its own difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert). Pass-and-play and bot games work fully offline.
How does online play work?
From the front door choose Online, then host a table and share the code, or join with a friend's code. No account is needed. If a player drops out, the game waits for them briefly and then a bot stands in until they return.
How do I turn them on or off?
In Settings → Feedback, toggle Vibration, Sound, or Music.
When do ads show?
A small banner sits under the board and in the menus, and a full-screen ad may show between matches. A full-screen ad never interrupts a match in progress. Optional bonus ads (for example the daily bonus double or the punch card) run only when you tap to watch them.
What are Cowries?
The in-game currency you earn by playing and by watching optional ads. Cowries buy cosmetics in the Shop. They cannot be bought with real money and have no cash value.
How do I remove ads or restore a purchase?
Settings → Support Afri-Ludo → Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that removes the banners and the between-match ads. On a new device, use Restore Purchases on the same screen.
How do I report an ad or change my ad privacy choices?
Use Report an ad and Ad privacy options in the same Settings section, or email us.
